UAFS

We strive to provide excellent support for students who have served in the U.S. armed forces and their dependents. UAFS offers graduate and undergraduate degrees, technical certificates and certificates of proficiency in over 50 programs. All of our programs are approved by the Arkansas State Approving Agency and accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

Arkansas Youth Challenge

The mission of the Arkansas National Guard Youth Challenge Program is to intervene in and reclaim the lives of 16-18 year-old youths in the state of Arkansas, producing program graduates with the values, life skills, education, and self-discipline necessary to succeed as productive citizens.

With the understanding that each student veteran has different needs, our services are adapted to the individual student. We serve as the central point of contact for prospective or current University of Arkansas military-affiliated students needing assistance with the admissions process, applying for military educational benefits and scholarships, and referrals to various academic departments around campus.

NorthWest Arkansas Community College (NWACC) provides quality and affordable higher education to empower lives and strengthen communities within northwest Arkansas and the surrounding areas. With over 75 degrees and certificates, as an NWACC student, you can choose your own path. NWACC’s Veteran Resources Center offers veteran advisors and counselors to guide students through class registration, GI Bill® benefits, scholarships and financial aid, as well as tutoring, employment, disability and more.

The Military Student Success Center provides information about VA educational benefits to over 1700 assigned students. Expanding knowledge about VA benefits is a large part of the office's mission and your recourse could be very beneficial to UA Little Rock students and the surrounding community.

Veterans Upward Bound

Veterans Upward Bound (VUB) is a federally funded grant program, funded by the U.S. Department of Education, designed to motivate and assist veterans in the development of academic and other requisite skills necessary for acceptance and success in a program of post-secondary education. Serving: Conway, Crawford, Faulkner, Franklin, Johnson, Logan, Perry, Pope, Sebastian, and Yell counties.

ADULT EDUCATION NORTH ARKANSAS COLLEGE

The North Arkansas College Adult Education Program offers a wide variety of educational and occupational services. The program’s basic adult education classes assist adult learners in several areas such as GED preparation, basic skill development in math, reading, and language, as well as preparation for the Accuplacer, ACT, and ASVAB examinations. English as a second language and citizenship classes are also available at select locations.

Trio Student support Service/ North Arkansas College -Harrison

TRIO SSS is a federally funded student success program that works! Eligible Northark students must meet one of the following: neither parent received a bachelors degree before you were age 18 OR you have a documented disability OR you have low income according to the federal division of low income AND you are a US citizen or permanent resident AND you have an academic need AND you are majoring in any AA, AS, AGS, or AAS degree.
